BA (Hons) Sports Education and Special and Inclusive Education student, Harry Taylor, has Co-Founded a fast growing sports company that specialises in sports coaching for primary school children aged 5 – 14.
Established in 2017, TayPlay SPORT provides specialist sports coaches to deliver fun, active and inclusive sport sessions around Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.
During his time as the PE Co-ordinator at Outwoods Edge Primary School, Harry and his partner Jack Marshall, observed different coaches and teachers which inspired them to create TayPlay SPORT and offer a different approach to sports coaching.
Harry said: “We now have a steady client base and are joining everything we have worked towards during the academic summer of 2018, where two parts - one from Cheshire and one from Loughborough are coming together to pursue a better future and amazing opportunities for all. Our success from the start has been built on bringing children and adults together delivering active, fun and inclusive sessions for all.”
“NTU has been big part in the success of TayPlay SPORT Ltd. The lecturers within the Early Learning in Nature Module have been more than inspiring! We have created our very own nature scheme which we deliver throughout Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. I also participated in 'Students in the Classroom' through NTU which allowed me to show my different approach to teaching and to get TayPlay SPORT Ltd employed by the school. Jack and I are looking forward to the future and are employing more fun and enthusiastic coaches in the new year, as well as planning multi-sport camps".
TayPlay SPORT also offers a fun and inclusive Nature-Scheme for children in Key Stage 1 and 2 which everyone can participate in activities such as shelter building, bug identification and nature art.
