Horticulture student showcases garden at Belvoir Flower Show
An NTU FdSc Horticulture student had the opportunity to build a border garden at this years’ Belvoir Flower Show in July.

Hafsah Hafeji, who is currently in her second year, was able to build the garden after winning sponsorship from the London School of Garden Design (LSGD).
The LSGD wanted to give budding designers their first opportunity to show their own design at a public show.
Prior to students being given the chance to submit their plans, they were visited by the Belvoir Show organiser, Andrew Tudbury.
A Brackenhurst alumni himself, Andrew spoke to students about the show and his own personal experience of creating show gardens.
Speaking about her show garden, Hafsah said: “My design for the countryside border competition was a reflection of how I have experienced the countryside.
“The large presence of trees is reflected through the use of Buxus balls, which I then surrounded with masses of flowers and grasses to create a wild effect.
“I have also used plants that are excellent pollinators and a great source of food for birds over the winter.”
