We Are Creatives Student spotlight
Emily Rhodes, BA (Hons) BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing and Branding
During my course, we’ve completed lots of live briefs set by real brands within the industry. One of my favourites was set by boohoo, who wanted a three year strategic and marketing plan to realise their vision of being the best fashion brand for 16 - 24 year olds. We visited the headquarters of boohoo in Manchester, saw how they operated and the business in action – it was a really fun experience.
Placement opportunities
I was lucky enough to secure a three month placement supporting Social Media and PR at Accent Clothing, an independent luxury retailer in Leeds. I created and scheduled content for social media, worked with photographers and was given creative freedom over blogs - so I picked pieces from collections and wrote styling blogs, as well producing a three year strategic and marketing plan.

My Graduate Showcase
My last project of my degree was a digital clothing app that allowed consumers to fulfil their fashion needs on Instagram without damaging the environment. It was a sustainable solution to fast fashion. I proved that sustainability isn’t boring, and fashion and style doesn’t have to be compromised.
I’ve had an amazing three years at NTU. After graduating I want to get into social media marketing. I’d love to turn my passion into a career. .
