NTU Apprenticeship employers make top 100 ranking for 2020
Several apprenticeship employers working together with NTU were recently ranked in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers, independently assessed and compiled by the Government.

Made up of employers from the public and private sector, and including industries such as engineering, banking, healthcare, retailing, local government, accountancy and employers from the charity sector, the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers rankings celebrates 100 of the country’s most outstanding apprenticeship employers.
New for 2020, the rankings showcase the very best of England’s large apprenticeship employers, with employers recognised for providing some of the most successful apprenticeship programmes over the previous 12 months. The list will help potential apprentices, parents and careers advisers to identify the best apprenticeship opportunities with the highest performing apprentice employers.
Several businesses awarded a spot in the rankings are apprenticeship employers working with NTU. These include; Network Rail (20th), Nottingham City Homes (30th), Unilever (42nd), Iceland foods (48th) and ASDA (65th).
Apprenticeships and Skills Minister Gillian Keegan said: “A huge congratulations to all those businesses featured in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers rankings. Apprenticeships help business of all sizes to grow and give people of all ages and backgrounds a chance to learn new skills and get ahead in their chosen career.”
We know apprenticeships work – 86% of employers said apprenticeships developed skills relevant to their organisation and 78% reported improved productivity. On top of that, 90% of apprentices stay on in their place of work after completing an apprenticeship (apprenticeships.gov.uk).

It’s never been more affordable for businesses to take on an apprentice
With a brand new bonus introduced for businesses to hire apprentices over the next six months, this means that employers could receive up to £3,000* for hiring an apprentice between August 2020 to March 2021.
