SCALE-UP Support
From a dedicated Microsoft Team, Communities of Practice and Induction sessions, find out how we can support you in the delivery of SCALE-UP at NTU.

SCALE-UP: Help & Guidance MS Team
The SCALE-UP: Help and Guidance MS Team offers staff the space to sign up to short sessions, workshops, build a sense of community and ask questions to other SCALE-UP practitioners across NTU. We hope to grow the SCALE-UP Community of Practice so that colleagues can share innovative practice and collaborate to implement and embed SCALE-UP across a variety of modules and programmes.

Active and Collaborative Learning Room
The NOW Learning Room for active collaborative learning (with SCALE-UP) houses various resources designed to support you to adopt these techniques into your teaching. You will find a range of resources including long and short guides, resources to be used when planning sessions, and documents that can be given to students.

Upcoming sessions
A number of different SCALE-UP workshops as well as SCALE-UP Inductions and Consolidations are run through the SCALE-UP: Help & Guidance MS Team site.
Workshops
Workshops are an hour in length and cover specific topics such as 'formative feedback', 'flipped learning' and 'group formation and roles'. Unless stated, these sessions are relevant to any colleagues interested in these aspects of active, collaborative learning, not only SCALE-UP tutors.
Inductions
Inductions are for all colleagues who are interested in adopting SCALE-UP for their teaching. The sessions offer a foundational understanding of the approach, support on offer and curriculum design and adaptation. Colleagues who have already attended face-to-face inductions are welcome to take part both as a refresher and to experience an online SCALE-UP session (although they may find the Consolidations even more useful). These sessions are two hours in length.
Consolidations
Consolidations are for all colleagues who have attended an induction and are using SCALE-UP in their teaching (or intend to soon). The sessions revisit the SCALE-UP components that participants wish to explore further, along with the implications for curriculum design and adaptation. These sessions are two hours in length.
All workshops and inductions can be booked via the SCALE-UP: Help & Guidance MS Team. Check there for up-to-date session information, dates and times.
