Festival of Mental Health

Mental health and wellbeing are an increasing concern for those tasked with supporting young people through education. Evidence points to half of all mental health problems being established by age 14 and three quarters by age twenty-four. The NTU Festival of Mental Health (FoMH) aims to bring professionals working with young people at these stages of transition in education to promote and share best practice

The festival has two strands:

  • Professionals strand: aimed at professionals working to support young people’s mental health in education by sharing best practice.
  • Young people’s strand: aimed at post-16 pupils. It will allow them to experience practical workshops aimed at equipping them with the skills to maintain positive mental health throughout education.
