'Hope' – a poem written and performed by Alessandra Leone and Munashe Dziva, WRAP (Writing, Reading and Pleasure) Ambassadors.

Transcript of "Hope" - a poem written and performed by Alessandra Leone and Munashe Dziva

Emily once said Hope is like a feather that soars above
Take this dandelion, blow it, see how it goes with the wind.

"Hope" is the thing with feathers, that sings within my soul,
it is only very little but it grows, grows, grows,

it landed on the window sill, and caught my eye,
won't you stay a little while and sing, sing, sing,

so come, come, come breathe in hope, breathe out fear
breathe in hope, breathe out grief, come, come, come

I see you have lost it all, but I’d like to give it back
I see you have lost it all, but I’d like to give it back

It is cold outside, and you seem cold too,
come and stay within my house to be loved, loved, loved.
