Getting to and around NTU's City Campus
Travelling to Nottingham
Nottingham is a city in the heart of England, with excellent transport connections to surrounding cities. Manchester, Cambridge, Leeds and London are all within two hours' travel, while Birmingham and Sheffield are less than 90 minutes away.
If you're coming to Nottingham from the north, south or west, use the M1 motorway. From here, there are three ways to reach the city centre:
- Leaving at Junction 24, follow the A453 / Remembrance Way. The University will be sign posted and you will pass our Clifton Campus on the way.
- Leaving at Junction 25, follow the A52 / Brian Clough Way
- Leaving at Junction 26, follow the A610
Park and Ride services are available on all three of those routes into Nottingham.
If you're travelling from the east, use the A52.
City Campus Parking
If you're intending park in the city, the closest (and largest) facilities to our City Campus arE:
Nottingham Station is only a short walk from the city centre. Once you’ve arrived, our City Campus is best reached by tram - follow the signs from your platform, and head north on the Phoenix Park or Hucknall lines. The Nottingham Trent tram stop is less than 10 minutes away.
East Midlands Airport is just 15 miles from Nottingham city centre and there is a dedicated bus service between the airport and the city centre.
