Graduating students in gowns

We are pleased to confirm that this year’s Winter Graduation will take place at NTU’s newly developed and award-winning Clifton Campus.

While University Hall remains under construction for the second phase of its redevelopment, we will be holding our graduation ceremonies on 13 and 14 December at our Clifton Campus, and will provide graduating students and their families a high-quality experience to mark their special day.

A winter-themed Graduation Hall will be created at the Clifton Campus Sports Village with a lit entrance tunnel, grand ceremonial stage and large-scale decoration to provide a high-class experience for everyone.

The format will be similar to those held until recently at the Royal Concert Hall and comprise a formal ceremony, presided over by the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor or Pro Vice-Chancellor, with honorary graduates and academic colleagues joining students when they receive their degrees.

Those unable to attend the ceremony will be able to watch the events unfold live via video-link in one of our recently built and award-winning lecture theatres with large-size screens.

We are working with NTSU to ensure that our plans match student expectations as we always want our students have the best possible experience when it comes to graduation.

Many of those graduating will have lived and studied on the Clifton Campus. For those who did not, we can assure them that the occasion and celebration will be every bit as memorable as if they were graduating in the city.

By having the ceremonies at Clifton we are able to keep graduation on-campus, rather than use an external venue.

More details will be provided in due course. In the meantime, any questions can be directed to NTU.graduations@ntu.ac.uk.
