Your Graduation venue

All of our Graduation ceremonies take place on our City Campus at University Hall. This venue is small and intimate so we can offer the most personal student experience that we can. We ask all attendees – colleagues, fellow graduates and guests – to be respectful of those around them in order to ensure ceremonies are not disrupted. Please note this means that confetti cannons, air horns, posters / banners are not permitted inside University Hall.

The former Wesleyan Chapel on Shakespeare Street was constructed in 1854, with the rear extension constructed over a century later in 1976. The University bought the former synagogue back in 2016, and over the next few years, the Chapel was brought back to life, carefully restoring and preserving key features of the building.

University Hall is now a hub for arts events and Graduation ceremonies.

On the day of your Graduation

We do ask that you are at University Hall before doors close, 15 minutes before the start of your ceremony. Unfortunately, late attendees cannot be admitted. We look forward to seeing all our graduands during Graduation, and wish you every success in your exams and assessments to come.
