Jobs in Sustainability

We’re looking for people with a passion for sustainability to join an award-winning team. Join us in our mission to become the university of the future, and achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2040.

NTU has been classed as one of the most sustainable universities in the UK for the past eight years and has also been ranked in the top five most sustainable universities globally (2021). We ensure environmental, social and economic sustainability is part of what we do and support our partners and suppliers to do the same.

Our Net Zero Carbon (NZC) programme contains various workstreams and projects.  Covering areas such as Supply Chain, Energy & Water, Travel & Transport and Partner Accommodation, there’s plenty of opportunity to make a difference.

In line with our Embracing Sustainability strategy, we’re focused on reducing our carbon footprint by 24% by the end of the current strategic plan in 2025 and by 50% by 2030.  We’re looking for people with a passion for sustainability to join our large team. In whichever role you choose, you’ll be critical in reducing our environmental impact by identifying opportunities and implementing change through the work you do.

Our Opportunities

We’ve created new roles as part of our commitment to net zero carbon and sustainability.  We’re looking for people to work collaboratively to lead and implement projects that create sustainable change. Our roles range in scope and responsibility but are a core part of a bigger team, offering mentoring and development opportunities.

This is a great time to join NTU and be instrumental in making a difference to both our environmental footprint and support the wider carbon neutral 2028 ambitions of Nottingham.

Closing date for all roles is 22nd April 2022. Please note we may contact candidates for interview before the closing date or close the vacancies prior to the closing date.
