Sports Hardship Fund

For some students, equipment, trips and sports clubs can be prohibitively expensive.

Our Sport Hardship Fund supports those students who wouldn't be able to take part due to the cost.

Students can apply for up to £100 per academic year. We limit grants to one per student per academic year. Even if an application is successful, it might not be possible to aware the full amount. We only have a limited sum of money.

Applicants must:

  • be eligible for an NTU Bursary
  • submit their own individual application, not have it done on their behalf
  • show evidence of financial hardship
  • be unable to take part without the help of the Sport Hardship Fund
  • apply for funding to enable them to take part in an NTU Sports Club. This includes club fees, trip costs, and the buying of required equipment and kit.

Fill out the application form.

We'll make our decision, and send applicants an email explaining it. It should take about two weeks after the application.

The Sport Hardship Fund is not currently accepting applications. Please check back here in the future.
