Applying through Adjustment
What is Adjustment?
If you’ve met and exceeded the conditions of your first (firm) choice, Adjustment is your opportunity to reconsider where and what you have applied to study.
You may have previously ruled out certain courses or universities, based on the entry requirements – the Adjustment period is your chance to reapply to these courses, based on your exam results.
Am I eligible?
- You are eligible for Adjustment if you've met and exceeded the conditions of your first (firm) choice.
- You'll see the option to register for Adjustment in your UCAS Track. It's entirely optional, but it gives you the option to contact other universities, while keeping your unconditional firm (UF) choice safe.
Find out how to register for Adjustment on the UCAS website.
How do I apply for a place through Adjustment?
The Adjustment period is open from A Level results day on 15 August 2019 until 31 August 2019.
Your individual Adjustment period starts when your conditional firm (CF) choice changes to unconditional firm (UF). You have a maximum of five calendar days (five 24-hour periods, including Saturdays and Sundays) to register in UCAS Track and secure an alternative course if this is what you decide you want to do.
