How to visit NTU

If we make an offer through Clearing or Adjustment, your son or daughter needn’t accept it immediately. Before they commit to a decision, we encourage them to visit us in person – it’s important that they get a proper look at what it’s like to live and learn in Nottingham.

Come and meet us

Come along yourself, and make sure that all the key questions are being asked and answered. This is the best time to find out about the practical things – from our accommodation choices, to security, travel, and living costs.

Our drop-in events are the perfect opportunity to see what makes Nottingham Trent University (NTU) one of the UK's most popular universities  - and, as parents or guardians, our drop-in sessions will also answer a lot of your own questions. Our Student Ambassadors will provide guided tours our campuses and can offer an important personal take on what it’s like to live and study here.

Your son or daughter won’t need to book a place on these events. Take a look at our visit us page for guidance about which campus to visit, drop-in times and arrival information.

Can't make it to the drop-in sessions?

Our Clearing and Adjustment team are on hand to answer any of your questions and make sure that you make the right choice for you. Call us on +44 (0)115 848 6000.

Tips

To make the most of our drop-in sessions and open days, make sure that your son or daughter:

  • comes with a list of relevant questions about their course, and the University.
  • speaks with plenty of our own students, for an objective take on what it’s like to live and learn here.
  • informs us in advance of any mobility or disability issues, so that we can make the day work for them and you.
  • explores Nottingham, as well as NTU – they’re choosing a home, and not just a university.
