Selling effectively can determine the success of any business.
Salespeople that demonstrate great communication skills inspire people and create a great retail environment, loyalty and ultimately repeat custom.
This course will provide you with the essential skills and knowledge to achieve successful sales in the retail industry.
It’s for retail assistants, managers, business owners and anyone who would like to sell confidently - instead of fearing it!
On this course you’ll learn how to win over your audience and make that sale.
Whether sales techniques are completely new to you or if you already have a good understanding, you can become an exceptional salesperson and ensure customers keep coming back.
With a limited number of places on the course, you'll have the one-to-one attention you need to ensure you leave with the skills to continue developing your skills at work.
What you’ll study
What you'll study
To be successful at selling you need to demonstrate a natural and genuine approach and feel confident when interacting with customers.
That's why being a great listener and understanding people’s body language (and your own) can strengthen relationships with customers, which is essential for long-term success.
On this course you’ll learn how to be the 'complete retail package' and develop your skills in the fundamental principles of sales: communicating effectively with customers, identifying their needs, and persuading them to make purchases.
During this course you will:
- learn how to engage with customers (without being a pest) to build rapport and loyalty
- understand the psychology of buying and consumer behaviour
- identify customer needs and offering solutions
- practice handling objections and closing sales
- develop effective communication skills and explore negotiating skills
- practice cross-selling and upselling techniques
- improving sales productivity and how to deal with not knowing an answer from an enquiry
- learn how to regulate your emotions on the shop floor
- encourage the use of ‘win-win’ scenarios
- discuss how the use of empathy is a salesperson's best tool.
Throughout the course, you’ll be exposed to a range of practical techniques and strategies that can be applied in a retail environment to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
The course will be delivered through a combination of lectures, case studies, role-playing exercises, and practical assignments.
There will also be chances for you to practice public speaking and how to present yourself, mastering your emotions through breathing and body language techniques that will build confidence to persuade customer’s to buy, while remaining friendly and casual.
What will I gain?
By the end of the course, you will have a solid understanding of sales techniques for retail and be able to apply them confidently in your day-to-day work.
All students will receive a certificate on completion of the course which is a fantastic way to enhance a CV.
