Join award-winning British gospel artist Freddie Kofi and get to grips with music that goes beyond the notes, in our brand new Gospel Choir. Learn to how to create and capture the emotion and empathy in the story of a song. We welcome singers of all abilities, and there's no need to audition.
What can I expect?
NTU students and staff can experience our new friendly and relaxed Gospel Choir, led by the brilliant Freddie Kofi.
From traditional and contemporary gospel to uplifting, emotive and classic songs, we'll introduce you to new approaches and techniques that will challenge you to step out of your comfort zone and bring a song to life.
Rehearsals for our Gospel Choir will take place at the Music Centre in University Hall, on the City Campus.
You don't need to be able to read music, or have any previous experience.
When you're ready to sign up, membership for the academic year costs just £15 for students or £30 for staff. This includes rehearsals, performances and music. There's also a third off after Christmas if you wish to join in January.
All areas of the Music Centre are accessible for wheelchair users. Accessible toilets are available and there is a lift to the lower ground floor.
