There's something rousing about a great brass band. And it could be just the experience you're looking for.
The NTU Brass Band started small. It began in 2013 as a quintet, but has bloomed into a thriving ensemble that's played around the UK; including winning awards at the world's only university brass band competition – Unibrass. Our brass band is led by NTU's brass tutor and renowned trombonist Peter Lacy.
Who can join?
We welcome NTU students, staff, alumni and members of the local community. You don't need to audition, and you may be able to hire an instrument if you don't have one of your own.
You should be able to sight read and play to around Grade 3 standard, although you won't need to have taken the exam.
