Collaborative research

Research at NTU is undertaken on both a contract and collaborative basis with a wide range of businesses, funding bodies, government agencies, charities and higher education institutions. Using our world-leading and internationally excellent research expertise we aim to address real-world issues and to develop new knowledge, innovations and technologies.

We work together with external partners to carry out research that combines expertise and facilities to mutual benefit. Our funding sources vary, but often we source from national or international initiatives tasked with achieving advancements in fields of scientific, social, cultural, technological and economic potential.

Grant Capture Team

Our Grant Capture Team can provide you with advice and support to partner with appropriate expertise across the University and to help with applying for collaborative funding.

We work on collaborative projects supported by UK Research Councils, The European Union, The Technology Strategy Board, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and various other charities and trusts.

As an interface to the academic research base at NTU, the Team can assist by:

  • providing introductions to academics and research groups
  • creating new opportunities for collaboration
  • raising awareness of the skills and expertise on offer
  • identifying joint funding opportunities
  • assisting in the writing and submission of proposals.

The Grant Capture Team offers you extra resource where you most need it. If you wish they will continue to help throughout the lifetime of your proposal.
