Much of our research is collaborative, involving end users such as the NHS, medical charities, and commercial companies. Our research impacts on patient care, improved health outcomes, public policy-making, public engagement with science and research, product development, food safety and authenticity.
Research is housed in purpose-built laboratories including the normal range of molecular, biochemical and analytical facilities.
In the REF 2021, 99% of research submitted to the 'Allied Health Professions, Dentistry, Nursing and Pharmacy' Unit of Assessment was assessed to be world-leading or internationally excellent in terms of quality. Find out more.
