Korfball is a ball sport, with similarities to netball and basketball. It is played by two teams of eight players with four female players and four male players in each team. The objective is to throw a ball into a netless basket that is mounted on a 3.5 m (11.5 feet) high pole.

Club Information

Korfball has been likened to a mix of netball and basketball. It is high paced and having fun is one of our core values. We have a team that plays in local leagues and for BUCS but always give opportunities for all our members to play in all games.
We welcome all abilities and encourage people who may never have tried or even heard of the sport to give it a go! It is quick to pick up and is a fun and social way to keep healthy.

Korfball started as a play for fun sport in 2018 and we became an official sports club in 2019. We played in the local league and BUCS last year, finishing 4th in our league of 7 and finishing 9th in BUCS against some strong and established clubs.
Although we are proud of our competitive accomplishments, we are particularly proud of the community surrounding our sport. As the sport is mixed gender we have a unique, enjoyable atmosphere in the club.
