Korfball

Welcome to NTU Korfball!

    Korfball has been likened to a mix of netball and basketball. It is high paced and having fun is one of our core values. We have a team that plays in local leagues and for BUCS but always give opportunities for all our members to play in all games. We welcome all abilities and encourage people who may never have tried or even heard of the sport to give it a go! It is quick to pick up and is a fun and social way to keep healthy.

    Represent

    Korfball is played by two teams of eight players with four female players and four male players in each team. The objective is to throw a ball into a netless basket that is mounted on a 3.5 m (11.5 feet) high pole.

    Our BUCS team compete in the Korfball Championships and we have additional competitions including the East Midlands Korfball League. Last season we won the BUCS Shield competition.

    Training takes place at City Sports Hall.

    How to join

    Membership costs £110, we recommend that you attend our trial sessions which you can find out more about on our social media. Memberships purchased at any point during the academic year are only valid until the end of term 3.
