Wheelchair Basketball

Wheelchair basketball is a fun and exhilarating team sport where every player brings something to the team. All abilities can come and play. All players are welcome to our Play4Fun and training sessions and all equipment is included.

Club information

Receive coach led training sessions, play 4 for sessions on all sports, transport to away games (you may need public transport for some games), and the use of equipment and sports facilities.

We also give members the opportunity to engage in skill swaps throughout the year and social events. If you want more information search NTU Wheelchair Basketball on Facebook.

Practice / meeting schedule

Training sessions are held on a Thursday between 7:00 and 9:00 on the Basketball Courts at the Lee Westwood Sports Centre.

Play 4 Fun sessions are held on a Friday between 5:00 and 6:30. It’s just £2 to play or free if you’re a club member.

Taster sessions

Tasters sessions will be on around Fresher’s week at the Lee Westwood Sports Centre. The times will be put on our Facebook page closer to the time.

How to join

To join the team membership costs are £125 which can be paid at the sports desks, or £2 if you want to come to play 4 fun sessions.
Tasters sessions will run throughout the year so you can get a feel of the sport.

Sports kit information

To purchase personalised jerseys, they can cost from £35 which can be purchased at the start of term 1.

If you don’t want a jersey any sports clothing is fine.
