NTU Movember raises over £25,000!

Following a month of fundraising activities, various groups from around NTU & NTSU have raised an amazing £25,367 for Movember (as of 2 December 2024).
Over the past month, NTU Sport clubs, NTSU societies, students, colleagues and affiliates have been campaigning to raise money in support of people suffering with mental health challenges, testicular cancer, or prostate cancer. They've all shared the same goal of raising awareness for men's health and stopping men dying too young.
There were many groups that helped in smashing the initial £20,000 goal – however some notable fundraising highlights were:
- NTU Rowing (NTU BC): £3,454.92
- NTU Hockey: £3,284.34
- NTU Rugby Union: £2,423.34
As part of their campaign, NTU Men's Hockey and their president, Josh Grigg, created a video (right) in collaboration with TrentTV. Josh speaks honestly and openly on his story of losing a close friend to his battle with mental illness. Take a look.
A huge congratulations to all who donated or took part in any form of fundraising activity, and to all the clubs and societies for raising this incredible amount of money for a worthy cause.
