Gamze Yakar-Pritchard is a Research Fellow in Knowledge Exchange for Sustainability, at the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment (ADBE) at Nottingham Trent University.

Career overview

Gamze received her PhD on the subject of “A Sustainability Report Proposal for Cooperatives in Turkey”, at Trakya University, Turkey. Before joining NTU, she worked as a lecturer for five years at the Cooperative Management Department in Tekirdag Namik Kemal University, Turkey. She was also visiting PhD Researcher at Business School, Sheffield Hallam University in the 2018-2019 academic year. Besides the academic career, she worked as a consultant for a SME construction & consulting company in the UK. She also worked in the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution on the IPARD programme in order to help agricultural holdings to reach EU standards and help development of rural areas in Turkey.

Research areas

Gamze’s research interest is in sustainability reporting, sustainable development, SDGs, CSR, cooperatives, and social enterprises.
