Role

Katie is a Senior Lecturer in Product Design in the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment at Nottingham Trent University.
She is involved in Module Leadership in the postgraduate courses and supports teaching in the undergraduate courses. Including Model Making Support, Student tutorials, and Dissertation and Thesis supervision.
Katie is part of the Sustainability working group and the Staff and Student wellbeing working group for the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment.

Career overview

Katie studied a degree in BA (Hons) Furniture and Product Design at Nottingham Trent University (2011-2015) where she achieved a  first class honors degree and was awarded the Vice Chancellors Award for her contribution to the university. During her time at NTU Katie undertook a placement year where she was lucky to work with two fantastic Upcycling Designers: Sarah Turner and Max McMurdo. This placement inspired her keen interest in upcycling and Sustainability.

In 2018 Katie studied  MA  Products and Furniture Design at Kingston University on a part scholarship . Here  she developed her interest in furniture design and sustainability.
