Career overview

Paddy has a decade and a half of experience in construction, including:

  • four years manual work on site as a labourer and bricklayer
  • six years as a building services design engineer
  • five years as an energy conservation engineer.

Research areas

Paddy is currently co-supervising research work in to moisture movement in straw bales and research in to the accuracy of building energy models with respect to predicting actual energy use in a building.
