Role
Chris Brown's responsibilities involve the provision of historical and theoretical studies on the first and final year of the BA (Hons) Graphic Design programme. He is Module Leader for GDES10065 The Evolution of Graphic Design and GDES30054/56 Dissertation.
Research areas
Current research interests are focused on the impact of digitisation on the photographic industry. Previous work has included an investigation of the validity and efficacy of the 1980s theory of product semantics, particularly with regard to the influence, if any, that it has had on the UK design industry. This work has been presented to the Design History Society and DesForm 2006, Eindhoven.
