Role

Pat Iger is a Senior Lecturer in English as a Foreign Language and a Teacher Trainer. She is also Subject Leader for the BA Joint Honours modules in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Programme Leader for the Cambridge Delta Module 2 and leads two EFL modules within the University Language Programme. As a teacher trainer, Pat contributes to the Cambridge CELTA, and MA ELT and she also teaches on both the Pre-sessional and In-sessional EAP programmes.

Following four years teaching General and Business English in Istanbul, Pat returned to Nottingham in 1984 and taught EFL, Business English and Turkish in Further Education, until she came to NTU in 2000. Pat holds an RSA Cert. TEFL (now CELTA), a Trinity College Diploma in TESOL and an MA ELT. Pat examines for the Cambridge CELTA and Delta awards and her special interest is in developing self-esteem in trainee teachers.
