Dr David Hollis is a Senior Lecturer/Academic Mentor within the Human Resource Management department at NBS. He is a Module Leader and teaches on the Transformational Leadership Development module, supervises postgraduate placement students and mentors postgraduate students. He is also a member of the Organising as Practice research stream within the People, Work and Organisational Practice research centre.
David holds a PhD (Management and Business), a Master of Research (Management and Business), a Master of Science (Work Psychology and Business) and a Bachelor of Science with Honours (Psychology). He is also a British Psychological Society Test User in Occupational Ability and Personality, an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and awarded Beta Gamma Sigma membership.
Before working at NBS, David worked as a Research Executive within the BBC’s Sport and Radio Five Live divisions and as a Research Associate at The University of Nottingham where he published in the area of Occupational Health Psychology. He was also an Organizing Committee member of The European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology. His current research builds on his doctoral ethnographic study and focuses on the communicative constitution of organization, power, authority, and aesthetics.
