Dr David Hollis (BSc (H), MSc, MRes, PhD, FHEA) is a Senior Lecturer/Academic Mentor within the Human Resource Management department at NBS. He is a Module Leader and teaches on the Transformational Leadership Development module, and mentors postgraduate students. His practice is informed by, and had led to, Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) and Academic Professional Apprenticeship (APA) teaching qualifications.
David is a member of the Academy of Management (AoM), the European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS) and the Organising as Practice research stream within the People, Work and Organisational Practice research centre at NBS. His research revolves around how communication constitutes organizational realities, investigating classic notions such as power, authority and aesthetics. David’s most recent publications are in the journal Organization Studies and De Gruyter's Handbook of Management Communication. His research has also been nominated for the Organization and Management Theory division's Responsible Research Award at the 2021 AoM Annual Meeting.
Prior to joining NBS, David worked in research roles at the BBC (Sport and Radio Five Live) and the University of Nottingham’s Institute of Work, Health and Organizations.
