Career overview
Diego has several years of work experience in teaching having worked for three different universities. He has taught Introduction to Economics; Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Introductory Economics and Finance; Introductory Mathematics; Introductory Statistics; Applied Economics and Contemporary Issues in Economics.
In addition to his teaching experience, Diego has also accumulated several years of experience in project design, management and public policy formulation. Diego worked for the Inter-American Development Bank for many years and supported the design of the Compete Caribbean program, a multi-donor USD40 million program to support private sector development in Caribbean countries. He later managed the USD10 million facility under the program that supported business climate reforms across 15 countries.

External activity
Diego has a long track record of undertaking short term consultancies for International Development Agencies supporting economic research, project design and project implementation in the Caribbean sub-region.
