Role
Dr Hoa Do works as a Senior Research Fellow in HRM at the CWPOP, Nottingham Business School. He is a quantitative researcher with experience in conducting surveys and data analysis (e.g., Mpus, SPSS, Qualtrics). He is now working on several research projects conducted by the Centre including the COVID-19 & VCSE Organisation Responses project funded by the ESRC. He is also part of on-going work carried out in CPWOP investigating employee voice, in partnership with the CIPD.

Career overview
Prior to joining Nottingham Business School as a Research Fellow in HRM, he worked as an Assistant Professor in Management at Musashi University, Tokyo, Japan. He completed his PhD in Management from Aston Business School, UK. He is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK.
He has also received research funding from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Japan (Principle Researcher); National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) Vietnam (Member).
Research areas
Hoa Do's research revolves around the investigation of Strategic HRM/HPWS and innovation. His research interests also include HRM, resilience, social networks and internationalization with its focus on SMEs. His publications have appeared in the Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management Review, International Small Business Journal, Journal of International Management and presented in leading international conferences such as the Academy of Management, British Academy of Management, and European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology.
