Role

Jon is currently Co-leader for the BA (Hons) Business Management (1 Year In-Company) work-based learning degree programme.  His primary role is to lead the personal growth and capabilities modules at all three levels of the programme which focus on helping undergraduates prepare for the workplace by them developing the capacity to self-manage and grow their own talent. Jon provides supervision for final year Thesis and is also involved with supporting Jordanian undergraduates who wish to extend work-based learning into Jordan and neighbouring Gulf academia.

Career overview

Jon is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has been at Nottingham Business School since September 2000. During this time he was seconded to Nottingham Trent International College (2005-2006) for its operationalisation phase and initial delivery of Information Systems and Marketing modules. Jon led the BA (Hons) Management work-based learning degree programme from July 2006 until its run-out in July 2016.

He holds a MA in Education which primarily focused on a longitudinal study into undergraduates’ digital literacy and use of mobile learning.
Before starting at NTU, Jon provided Microsoft Office training at various educational institutions including staff training at University of Nottingham, adult education (UoN, New College Nottingham and Peoples College) and financial services Para-planning and Compliance at SME’s.
