Mojtaba is an award-winner Principal Lecturer in the Department of Marketing and the programme leader for MSc Marketing Suite.

Career overview

As programme leader for MSc Marketing Suite, Mojtaba is responsible for the overall design of the course, ongoing programme maintenance and improvement, monitoring the programme in operation and effective coordination of staff who contribute to the design and delivery of the programme. His ultimate responsibility is to ensure the design and delivery of high quality learning opportunities for students on the programme. MSc Marketing suite is one of the largest MSc Programme at Nottingham Business School which offers advanced and conversion courses to students with different backgrounds and objectives.

Mojtaba is leading Digital Marketing modules at both undergrad and postgrad levels. He is a winner of student-led teaching award “Outstanding Teaching Staff for NBS” in 2019 who has gone above and beyond to improve student experience at Nottingham Trent University. His teaching is always informed by the most up-to-date research in the field, and adopts active learning approach and puts students at the heart of the learning experience. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. This reflects his wider interest in learning and teaching innovation and excellence. He is also external examiner for both MSc and BSc Digital Marketing courses in UK and overseas universities. He has been a member of approval panel  for several programmes at both undergrad and postgrad levels. He is the CIM examiner and has received the commendation letters from CIM for excellent students’ result for three consecutive years.

Research areas

Mojtaba completed his PhD in Information Systems from the University of Salford in 2016. Mojtaba’s research spans a range of topics in Digital Marketing with particular interests in Customer Experience and role of technology in customer engagement. He is currently supervising five Doctoral students in this area. His research findings have been published in IJMR and presented in several national and international conferences. He has recently submitted new journal articles in Journal of Service Research and Journal of Public Policy and Marketing. His research proposals have been awarded several seed corns at NTU. He welcomes application from potential PhD students who are interested in doing PhD in digital marketing and customer experience areas.
