Nazan started as a lecturer at Nottingham Business School in September 2017. She is currently in involved in the delivery of seminars, workshops and lectures in the modules:

Marketing & Operations (UG)
Principles of Marketing (PG)
Strategic Marketing (UG).
Nazan is also leading the module of Marketing and Operations (UG) and has a role in the supervision of MBA, MSc, PhD and DBA dissertation projects.
Nazan studied for her BA in International Trade. Furthermore, she gained her M.A in Marketing at the University of Sunderland and she was awarded a PhD in Marketing by the University of Hull, in April 2017.
Her PhD thesis entitled "Anti-consumption attitude formation towards religiously endorsed products." During her PhD, she has gained a postgraduate certificate and diploma in research training.
At the University of Hull, Nazan has gained experiences in teaching on the International Marketing, International Business and Social and Not for Profit Marketing (UG) modules as well as serving as an MBA and MSc dissertation supervisor. She also has Associate Fellow status for Higher Education of Academy.
Nazan’s primary research interests span anti-consumption theory, cross-cultural communications, branding and ethical framing & advertising.
Interested in the integration of mixed methods on the research studies, Nazan is currently working on quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods based research projects which are under the reviews of ABS 3* and 4* journals.
Nazan is also has a developing an interest in fundraising research and peace marketing. She has received the ‘Best Paper Award’ at the 50th Academy of Marketing Conference, University of Hull, 2017 for her research on “Counter-terrorism branding: A conventional branding perspective.”
Taken roles in the 50th Academy of Marketing Conference as a reviewer for Doctoral Colloquium, and co-chair in Brand Identity and Corporate Reputation & Services and Customer Relationship Marketing tracks.
Nazan holds a Certificate in Fundraising from the Institute of Fundraising and engages in external fundraising consultancy works in overseas.
