Career overview
Graduating in Economics from the University of Manchester, and a PhD in Political Theory from the London School of Economics - the two split by a brief foray into commercial law - I have enjoyed a serpentine academic career in Departments of Politics, Philosophy and Business and Management. I have worked as a researcher on a number of large ESRC projects based in the UK before becoming a reader and then professor at the University of Liverpool Management School 2007-2015.
