Ria Bluck

Educational Research and Evaluation Specialist

Centre for Academic Development and Quality Dept.

Role

Ria is an Educational Research and Evaluation Specialist. Her role within the Centre for Academic Development & Quality (CADQ) involves designing and supporting research and evaluation projects that explore the NTU student experience.

Career overview

Having graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a BSc in Psychology in 2017, Ria went onto work in the area of mental health and wellbeing for young people and vulnerable adults.

Ria’s research career started at the University of Nottingham Students’ Union where she took up the role of exploring the student experience and formulating recommendations for change within the organisation. Ria’s largest piece of work in this role centred around the experience of students in marginalised and underrepresented groups in university spaces.

Ria joined Nottingham Trent University in early 2022, where her work continues to explore the university experience through the voice of students – something Ria is particularly passionate about.
