Dr Jane Moore is Director of the Nottingham Institute of Education. The Institute provides a wide range of programmes in Initial Teacher Education (both undergraduate and postgraduate) and in Academic Studies in Education, including Education Studies, Childhood Studies and Special and Inclusive Education. The Institute also offers both a professional doctorate and PhD supervision across a range of education research areas.
Prior to joining NTU, Jane was Head of the School of Teacher Education at Liverpool Hope University. She has led large education programmes in several universities. Jane has a professional background as a teacher in a range of secondary schools.
Jane’s research interests are in teacher education and professionalism, partnership and pedagogy.
Her doctoral research was in museum studies, and drew on theoretical perspectives from anthropology and history.
