Principal Lecturer, Programme Leader Law Majors
Brian Ward has a leadership role in relation to Nottingham Law School's Law Major and LLB part-time programmes. For the past 20 years he has taught a range of legal subjects at the higher education level and has introduced a number of new law modules to the Law School including a module on United States law and a module on rules for the protection of the accused. His current teaching interest is in the area of employment law.
Research areas
Brian Ward has researched extensively in the field of employment law and trade union law. He has also contributed to major law journals on the topic of child witnesses.
External activity
Brian Ward was called to the Bar in 1988. He is currently the elected academic staff representative on the University's Academic Board. He is also the local elected Chair of UCU, the trade union and professional association recognised by the Nottingham Trent University as representing academic staff.
