Role

Jill is the Course Leader for the part-time Legal Practice Course (LPC).

Jill teaches Criminal Litigation, Solicitors' Accounts, Practical Legal Research, Writing and Drafting, Advocacy, Interviewing, Professional Conduct on the full-time and part-time LPC.

She is the subject leader on Solicitors' Accounts on the full-time and part-time LPC and has also acted as subject leader for Writing for a year to cover maternity leave. Jill is also a personal tutor on both the full-time and part-time LPC.

Jill has particular interest, within the context of the LPC, on courses teaching the skills required for legal practice.

Career overview

Jill worked as a solicitor in practice for several years before joining the team at Nottingham Law School.

In her training contract Jill had seats in litigation, property, and private client.

As an assistant solicitor in a medium sized practice Jill worked initially in property but later moved onto litigation work specialising in family law.

Jill has also worked for the Crown Prosecution Service doing agency prosecution work in criminal cases in the Magistrates' Courts.
