Role

Sian has taught on both undergraduate and postgraduate courses at NTU. Sian is currently co-course leader for the following courses; LLM Legal Practice Course (full time and part time), LLM Advanced Professional Legal Practice (SQE1 and SQE2) (FT and DL), LLM Professional Legal Practice (SQE1) (FT and DL) and PGDip Professional Legal Practice (SQE1) (FT and DL).

In addition to leading these courses Sian also teaches on a range of modules within the courses with a particular focus on employment law.

Career overview

Prior to joining Nottingham Trent University Siân practiced for many years as a solicitor specialising in Employment Law.  Siân is currently a non-practising solicitor.

Sian is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has recently completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice receiving a distinction. As part of studying for this qualification Sian completed a research project in technology enhanced learning which has given her an interest in this area.
