Tammy Egbe holds a Lectureship in Law at the Nottingham Trent University (NTU).

Tammy currently leads seminars in contract law, EU law and law of torts on the LLB at NTU and is module leader for international carriage of goods on the LLM at NTU. Tammy is also a qualified attorney and registered member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Career overview

Prior to joining NTU, Tammy taught at the University of Leicester as a university tutor while also teaching at NTU and Leicester De Montfort University as an HP lecturer.


Tammy obtained his academic and professional qualifications from Universities in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. He obtained his LL. B from Igbinedion University Okada, Nigeria in 2008 and qualified as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2010. He obtained his LL.M in 2013 from the University of Surrey while his doctorate undertaken under the joint supervision of Associate Professors Ebenezer Adodo and Masood Ahmed was obtained in 2019 from the University of Leicester. His research interests lie in the areas of Maritime Law, international carriage of goods, international sale of goods and commercial Law broadly.
