Role
Carlota is responsible for overseeing the administration of NLS Legal and supporting the Head of NLS Legal with the day to day running of the firm, including risk and compliance, student recruitment, and marketing and promotion. Carlota is also responsible for relationship management with both internal and external stakeholders and represents NLS Legal in a number of internal and external groups and committees.
Career overview
Carlota has worked at NTU since October 2014. She used to work as a School Management Support Administrator in NLS, supporting the Deputy Dean and senior management team. In May 2017, she was seconded to NLS Legal to the role of Enabling Innovation Project Co-ordinator. Since 2019, Carlota is the Practice Manager at NLS Legal.
Before moving to the UK, she worked in the European Parliament in Brussels for four years as an Accredited Assistant to a Spanish Member of the European Parliament. Her main areas of expertise were European Policies on Culture, Education and Development. She had previously worked for two years in the Regional Office of Madrid in Brussels, for the regional Government of Madrid and the International Relations Office of Universidad Pontificia Comillas de Madrid. In that role, her main tasks included monitoring European policies, providing consultancy on European Affairs, informing about existing European Projects and assisting with calls for proposals, and drafting reports on a wide range of European subjects.
