As a Student Communications Executive, Tino Matienga’s role involves developing and supporting content to drive engagement with the Global Lounge and Study Abroad channels and events. This includes writing and scheduling content for the NTU Global social media channels.
Tino also works collaboratively with the creative team to produce digital assets, flyers, posters, banners and videos to support training and one-off events such as the Language Café, Language in Tandem, Global Week, Global Opportunities Showcase, Global Employability Award and more.
Tino’s journey in Marketing started in 2015, when he began his studies at Nottingham Trent International College on the BA Business Management and Marketing program, which he completed in 2018. He has held different roles within the International Development Office such as Student Ambassador (Telephone Campaign) and Recruitment Consultant; a role which involved the marketing and promotion of NTU within the Southern African region in countries such as Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. He has also worked as an International Enquiries Assistant, where he was responsible for supporting international students through the application process and dealing with scholarship and student exchange queries.
His most recent experience enabled him to work within the healthcare industry as a Communications Assistant at Primary Integrated Community Services, a role he undertook as part of his year-long work placement for the MSc Branding and Advertising program at the Nottingham Business School.
