Role
Dr. Butt is a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering in the School of Science & Technology.
Currently, he is leading the year 1 core engineering module, Innovation and Engineering solutions which covers all the elements of the Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate (CDIO) methodology. He is also the module leader for Sustainable Design and Product Death.
Career overview
Prior to joining NTU, Dr. Butt was a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bolton. Dr. Butt led modules on Engineering Design, Applications and Simulation and was an Enhanced Academic Tutor. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
Dr. Butt obtained his BEng (Hons) and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham.
