Career overview

Before joining NTU as a senior lecturer in Biomedical Science, Mark worked for over 22 years in clinical microbiology within the NHS. Starting after graduation as a Medical Laboratory Assistant, he became an HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist. Working his way through the laboratory hierarchy, the last role in the NHS Mark held was as the service manager for a county wide Bacteriology service with Path Links Pathology which covered the whole of Lincolnshire and beyond. Mark is a Fellow member of the Institute of Biomedical Science and has an application in submission to be designated a Chartered Scientist.
