Role
Dr Pauline Smith joined NTU in 1996 and is currently a Principal Lecturer and the Course Manager for Engineering.
She has a first-class honours degree in Production and Operations Management and a PhD in Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Management, both from the University of Nottingham.
She has strong links with industry developed through previous roles as Placement Tutor and Employability Co-ordinator for the School of Science and Technology.
Pauline teaches and supervises undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD projects in Interface Technology and Design, Human-Computer Interaction and Usability Engineering. Two of her recent project students have won the Institute of Human Factors’ Hywel Murrell Award for Best Undergraduate Thesis in Ergonomics.
