Amanda joined NTU in December 2022. She is a Lecturer in Career Development, teaching on the MA/PG Cert Career Development and Careers Leaders Training Programme. Amanda is module leader for Labour Market Information on the MA/PG Cert Career Development course and Careers Strategy & Leadership of the Career Leader course.

Career overview

Amanda is a qualified career development professional with 3 years experience of delivering career guidance and wider guidance activities in a number of schools across the Yorkshire region. Amanda completed her MA in Education in 2010 and, more recently, her MA in Career Development in 2021. Prior to qualifying as a career development professional and then joining NTU, Amanda was a teacher and senior leader in the secondary education sector for 24 years. As a member of the senior leadership team in a North Yorkshire Secondary School Amanda was responsible for a range of areas over the course of 12 years including timetabling and curriculum planning, assessment, reporting and data lead, special educational needs and safeguarding, strategic management of the pupil premium and catch-up funding, development and deployment of intervention strategies/programmes, and careers and enterprise education.
