Role

Emma is a Senior Lecturer in the Sociology Department. She teaches on both BA (Hons) Youth Justice and BA (Hons) Youth Studies.

I love that I could influence future Youth Offending Team staff, in addition to those who could make a difference in the lives of children and young people, using my absolute passion for the subject area to influence the future workforce.

Career overview

Emma previously studied BA (Hons) Youth Studies at Nottingham Trent University. Whilst studying, she volunteered at a Youth Offending Service and went on to be employed as a Case Worker there. Since then, she has worked in different boroughs of London as a High Risk/Senior Case Manager.

Taking a break when having her daughter, most recently Emma has been part of the Management Team within a Youth Justice Service within the West Midlands. Her role was being responsible for the Prevention and High Risk Services.
