Emma is a Senior Lecturer in the Sociology Department. She teaches on BA (Hons) Youth Justice and BA (Hons) Youth Studies and BA (Hons) Criminology courses.

My goal is to positively influence future professionals who could change the lives of children and young people that become involved in the criminal justice system, for the better

Career overview

While studying BA (Hons) Youth Studies at Nottingham Tent University, Emma volunteered at a Youth Offending Service and went on to be employed as a Case Worker there. Since then she has worked in different boroughs of London as a High Risk / Senior Case Manager. The majority of Emma's work has involved young people who are in custody or on high level community orders.

Most recently Emma has been part of the Management Team (her role includes being responsible for the prevention and high risk services) within a Youth Justice Service within the West Midlands.
