10% discount on tickets for city residents as Nottingham Castle re-opens in June

If you’re a Nottingham city resident, claim your 10% discount for entry to Nottingham Castle when the historic landmark re-opens its gates on Monday 21 June.

Tickets are available to buy online now, with the discount valid for people living in postcodes NG1 – NG9 and NG11.

Nottingham Castle will welcome the public to its buildings and grounds next month for the first time since its £30 million refurbishment project began three years ago.

As a strategic partner of Nottingham Castle Trust, Nottingham Trent University (NTU) works together with the Castle to champion arts, culture and innovation within the local community. The partnership also provides unique opportunities for NTU students and staff.

NTU will also feature on a prestigious funders wall at the Castle for its contribution to the redevelopment project, which has transformed the world-famous attraction into a first-class, interactive experience that will immerse visitors of all ages in almost 1000 years of history.

There’s a variety of new features to look out for on your return to the Castle this summer, including renovated museums and art galleries, brand-new tours such as the Robin Hood Adventures and the Castle Caves Underground Adventure, and a state-of-the-art visitor centre.

From medieval history to modern fashion, visitors will have the chance to explore the life and career of iconic Beeston-born designer Paul Smith with the Design Museum’s new exhibition Hello, My Name is Paul Smith also opening at the Castle on Monday 21 June.

Later this summer you’ll also be able to visit The Lab – programmed in partnership with NTU, this space will celebrate the diverse talents of makers, academics and creatives in present-day Nottingham.
