Fall in love with WRAP’s free writing and reading events featuring Ugandan-British author Musa Okwonga
Published: 19/01/2022
This term’s fantastic WRAP (Writing, Reading and Pleasure) events and opportunities are inspired by Musa Okwonga’s novel In the End, It Was All About Love. We’re dedicating the term to love in all its forms and inviting you to write about what you love for a published anthology – a chance to see your words in print. Our first events take place on Thursday 20 January:
- Love-in lunch: 12 – 1 pm, City (Newton) / Clifton (Pavilion)
- WRAP Café: 7 – 8.30 pm, The Playwright, Nottingham – sign up for an open mic slot
Ugandan-British author Musa Okwonga is this term’s Featured Writer. He’ll be leading a free writing masterclass, answering your questions in an exclusive Q&A and you can meet him in person at our WRAP Live! in-conversation event at Metronome.
- Thursday 27 January: Writing Toolkit Masterclass (online, free)
- Thursday 3 February: Books which Shaped Me and Q&A (online, free)
- Tuesday 29 March: WRAP Live! with Musa Okwonga (in person and online) – book your free ticket now
Musa is a poet, journalist and musician with a passion for football. He is the co-host of Stadio football podcast, publishing Striking Out with Arsenal football legend Ian Wright. He has plenty to say about his Eton scholarship, his classmates and his previous career in the Law.
