Reduce your bills, spend less on lunch, save on books, get free support and more. Here are some great ideas to help you save money while you study, from your NTU Library.

  1. You don’t need to pay for your core reading items. Your NTU Library provides free access to hundreds of thousands of e-Resources, books and journal articles.
  2. Reduce your bills by using our warm and safe spaces to study instead of staying at home. Plus our friendly staff can help you find what you need and support you if you get stuck.
  3. Bring a packed lunch with you to avoid buying lunch out and have a break in our social spaces. If it’s warm enough, you can also enjoy the lovely roof garden at Boots Library.
  4. When you come into the library, we’ll remind you to return items that have been requested to avoid you getting fines.

Also for free at your NTU Library:

  • Borrow a laptop to do your work.
  • Book a one-to-one appointment with a tutor to help improve your grades.
  • Access and get help with software. For example, the Microsoft Office 365 suite and the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).
  • Read for work or pleasure with access to our academic and wellbeing collections.
  • Try to avoid printing things out if possible, but if you need to print, NTU gives you £20 to get started.
  • Get help with syncing your devices.
